    GMac call-in show

Forgot all about the show tonight, until just now. Did Mac have much to say about the Texas game? Especially curious about any comments on the officiating. I know he can't say much without getting in trouble, but he seemed pretty fired up on Saturday. Thanks.

He kinda laughed at one callers mentioning of the officiating. Basically agreeing with him.

You should have seen him follow the refs after the game was over.... he was HOT!

Reminded me of Chizik during the KSU game.

Yeah, McD chasing the ref out the corner of the floor pointing his finger at him was awesome.

    Re: GMac call-in show

Why does every caller seem to feel the need to pontificate on their day and explain how they were able to make the time to call the show? Then, the question that follows is often make you wonder if they have ever seen a basketball game. One caller this evening asked if Mac would consider signing a 6'2" guard that was talented. What?

By the way, Coach Mac and John Walters handle these calls extremely well. I am glad I am not in their shoes, although with Mac's salary, he should have some sweet shoes. Prada, Bruno Magli,....

haha, exactly. My favorite comment is when someone asks their question and says "I'll take your comments off the air." ???

Anyways, didn't mean to turn this into a bash the callers thread. I also noticed that Mac was a little more animated than usual on Saturday and wondered if he was upset enough to say anything about it, even though he can't say much. Doesn't sound like he said much.

    Re: GMac call-in show

With the Big 12 rules regarding officiating, G-Mac really can't say much.

As far as the callers on these shows - I can't listen because of 'em. Could we just have a John & Greg show on the radio - minus the crazy people (aka, us fans)?

I would prefer that. They can have a player or assistant coach join them along the way and MAYBE take a few calls.

Maybe they should only allow posters who are above a certain rep level to ask questions? :)

Mac also mentioned that they are recruiting a forward/center and a guard to fill out the last 2 ships for next year.
