    Linnville-Sully opens a good old-fashion can of

    Something or another.

    Newton Daily News

L-S absolutely CREAMED Russell in the Div 1A District semi-final game, 76-4.

That's right. 76-4. I'm not a girl, and I'm not what you'd call "sensitive", but if I played on the Russell team, I would've cried, after the game.

    Un-flippin'-believeable

I watched some of our Aplington Panther teams growing up win by 90 (twice) over Janesville and I think once over Clarksville.
The 2 wins over Janesville were in the first round of the tourney.
132-42 and 128-38. The funny part was at the time they were playing in the Allison gym and the scoreboard didn't have a column for the 1, so it looked like we were losing on the scoreboard.
That was also in the middle of a 70+ game winning streak that was ended by Raef at MFL-MarMac.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

Wow, thats just sad when a team gets beat that bad. Sounds like the JV played a lot in that game too, which is really the right and only thing to do.

If your team is getting beat by the opposing teams JV that bad, then it's time to go back to the fundamentals I think. Unfortunately, I know all to well what if feels like to be on the losing end in similar situations going to HS in all sports. My class was something like 65/35% girls to boys, so we had a large class but no athletes on the boy side, kinda sucked when we played Boone who's quality was far less, but they could just platoon us into submission.

Screw athletics. With odds like that, who cares?

Or was it a case of "The odds are good, but the goods are odd"?
