    Culbertson

Among all active D1 players, guess where Culbertson ranks in terms of FG % made? He's number 12.

I know he takes some heat from ISU fans for not making some huge kicks, but this team is better off with him than without him. I hope he continues to improve and makes some game-winners down the road. Thanks Shags.

    Re: Culbertson

Hit 2 big pressure kicks in OT this year. Plus he has the longest consecutive streak for made PAT in ISU history I believe.

pretty good for a walk on

I agree. I think the beef is with anything over 40 yards and the OT kicks from the last couple years.

I miss the days of Carl Gomez though! Why it took us forever to bench Mike McKnight for nearly Mr. Automatic Gomez baffled me!

The real problem is that a walk-on Freshman should have never been put in to that position. We really should be thankful we had him, assuming that the next option was worst and with Yelks injury. It is to bad he will always be remembered as the guy who missed those critical FG's.

    Re: Culbertson

At one time he was almost too skinny at 6-3 179 to kick it 40 yards. I bet he can do better now. Watch what his practice distance is before the game.
