    Cameras in Hilton

I can't believe I don't know the answer to this, but I scored some good free tickets for the game tonight and thought I would ask. Are cameras permitted in Hilton?

    Re: Cameras in Hilton

I think someone said in a thread one time that they were told to stop taking pics during a game.

What kind of camera? Smaller point-n-shoot or an SLR type?

    It does make a difference.

    Yes, cameras are.
Video cameras aren't. (at least i don't think they are)
But you can always sneak them in.

    Re: Cameras in Hilton

just a point and shoot digital camera.... it's really small. I'm assuming it's the flash that is the concern?

    Re: Cameras in Hilton

Nope, the concern is actually media rights - they don't want folks in there with fancy SLR cameras taking photos when the media is doing that.

You'll be just fine with your camera.

    Re: Cameras in Hilton

I've brought a camera to Hilton multiple times. Just the small digital point and shoot variety. I've always turned off the flash out of respect for the players. All my pictures from the parquet have turned out just fine. It is much darker in the balcony.

    Re: Cameras in Hilton

I've taken my video camera in there a couple times just to get the lineups and everyone before tip-off. I did have a manager of the basketball team come to me and told me I can't tape anything during the game and I told him I was just doing the lineups and lastr few minutes of pre game. this was against Iowa and it was rockin

    Re: Cameras in Hilton

this just gave me an idea, maybe cyclone alley should hand out disposable camers and we could all use the flash as the opposing team is taking free throws. were always looking for a unique home court advantage that no one else does haha.

Cool idea, strobe light free throws, don't think it will fly though.
