States w/ Percentage of Population w/ < 9yrs Education

Here is an interesting map of the US that shows each state and it's percentage of the adult population with less than 9 years of education. Very interesting when you look at areas that have a stereotype of not being comprised of the smartest individuals...

Sad to say it, but as an educator (fear not, I no teach the spellin') that map doesn't even surprise me.

it would be interesting to know what they mean by education?

    Would this include homeschooling?

Somebody needs to go back to school if they consider that a map of "the US that shows each state." Where is Hawaii and Alaska?

Chicago is pretty light, but I think 9 years there may not equate to 9 years elsewhere ;)...

On a related note, I looked at the % of students that finish at various Chicago high schools. It was horrible.

I was just gonna say it looks as though 1/2 of Kentucky drops out of high school.

Question is, if the time ever comes to move.... do you avoid Kentucky like the plague?

    Or go and take over?

No kidding - I would assume you could get into upper management there pretty darn easily - just flash your high school diploma and they'll all drop to their knees
