Re: Brady and Moss to sit out Pro Bowl

Don't blame them. Many players opt out of playing in this game, not just the players that played in the Super Bowl.

This is more a problem with the Pro Bowl in general. If the league really wants something out of this game they need to do something to interest fans to watch and players to play.

Brady is probably still hurt, and moss is just a bad person, so we cannot be surprised there.

Is Favre a bad person for not attending?

Moss being a free-agent expecting a huge payday certainly couldn't have anything to do with it. Instead, he's got his sights set on running over some traffic cops and slapping some women around.

I'm not sure how the NFL could give this game more pull though. I don't know that I've watched a Pro Bowl in 10 years. There's just no excitement. The problem is that football is a contact support (thank you Captain Obvious) and players aren't going to go all out knowing that they may increase their chance at injury. If I were invited to play in a charity softball game that meant nothing and I also had a more intense league with more at stake to play in, I'd lay off too.

I just don't see anything the NFL can do to make this game exciting. It's not as easy as MLB where they can give home field advantage to one league or the one since the Super Bowl is in a neutral site.

    I got nothing...

They should at least be present. Don't have to play, but you should be present.

The game is probably too late in the day for Brett. He would miss the early bird.

Agreed. The only thing I can think of is to rotate the location. Make this game more accessible to the fans to see all these great players in one spot. Hawaii is not only a huge commitment for fans but it is also a huge commitment for players who have just finished their season. Keep the game in the lower 48 and you might see a better turnout.

Time to end the pro bowl, no one cares, no one watches it. It is worse than the NBA all star game. Pretty much the only all star game that is worth watching is baseball.

I've got it. Switch the game from tackle to two hand touch. That or maybe flag! Or if you want to get really weird everyone must play on the opposite side of the ball and not in their corresponding position. Can you imagine the O-lineman playing as CBs and the D -Lineman playing receivers? Guarantee you there wouldn't be a run over 10 yds.

    Anyways, back on topic:
While I think Brady and Moss should show up, I can't blame them for not wanting to play. They've been playing/practicing since August. I think I'd want a break also. Everyone else in the game will have 3+ weeks off before that game. So they've all had a chance to heal up, rest up, etc.

Did I hear that this is the last year for the Pro Bowl?

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

They should play the Pro-Bowl the week before the Superbowl.

And absolutely no one on either Super Bowl team would play in it - nor would I expect them to. Not that it's a huge problem, but something to consider.
