    Re: Golfers: How Does This Make You Feel?

    While I was on vacation this past summer, I found a book in the cabin were were at called "most amazing golf feats" or something like that.

    There was a section on Hole in One's and I was amazed to learn that there is a guy out there who got 2 Hole in One's in a row.....amazing yes, but the unbelievable part is they were on Par 4 holes!

    Can you imagine?

    I always knew that a guy who couldn't see would make a better golfer than me...

    No, actually, I can't.

    Being blind may help though as I never hit what I am looking at.

    Eh...I could do that if I wanted to. But since I enjoy raising my blood pressure on the course and wrapping clubs around trees - doing well just isn't my thing.

    Plus - I still think the highest score should win - as with nearly every other sport.

    I made back to back hole in ones before. What this was real golf, nevermind then.

    Step 1: Cut a hole in the box.

    If you play be the scoring system they use in that one tournament (I think it is called "The International"), highest score does win. It goes something like:

    Par = 0
    Birdie = +1
    Eagle = +3
    Double Eagle = +5....and so on.

    Re: Golfers: How Does This Make You Feel?

    I have been playing golf since I was three and still never had a hole in one. I have had a double eagle, holing out from 225 yards, but NO hole in one! I have probably hit the hole or flag a dozen times and still NO hole in one.

    To make things worse, when I was 13 I took a friend golfing for his very first time, 145 yard par 3 kid takes a 5 wood, skulls it, through the bunker, hits the rake, pops up and goes IN THE HOLE! A year later I am playing with my friend and his 8 year old little brother and the little guy gets a hole in one... One more reason why golf is one of the greatest, and most frustrating sports there is...

    Re: Golfers: How Does This Make You Feel?

    I once hit a drive that hit the plastic round knob on top of the ball washer next to the tee box and shattered it into about a thousand pieces. It was quite impressive.

    I was also on the 8th hole tee box at a rural Iowa golf course and there was a cow in the field right behind me giving birth. It was "mooing" up a storm...I think the calf must have been coming out backwards or something. It was like 30 ft behind me and totally ruined my drive.

    Re: Golfers: How Does This Make You Feel?

    You guys have got me in the golfing mood now, I'm going to have to skip a few classes and fire up some ps3 when i get home.

    And on a side note, when I was working in Maryland, Tiger Woods held a tournament 1/2 mile down the road in Potomac Maryland and we had it on in the office for the whole tournament. He had one drive where he just demolished the ball, and the announcers went to a swingvision type deal, and said his swing speed was 148 MPH!!! If I swing hard I could get about 120 MPH but my ball results in going further right than it does straight, so I'll settle for the 95-100 and nail it down the center of the fairway
