If we get him, what would eric harper play

    Eric Harper - Football Recruiting
....what do you think he would play? hes undersized to play first year as a defensive end, but if he can make the adjustment i think he could be really competitive in spring for an OLB position, he has the size at 6'4" 220... and speed with a 4.62 sec 40.... i think he could be a stud OLB and possibly be a true freshman starter, of course we need to sign him first lol. your opinion?

i just hope we get either him or james moore onto campus. between jared edwards-who just verballed to baylor, tracy robertson, and d.j. marshall switching to kansas, a once very solid position for this years class now seems quite weak.

He seems to want to play in the Big XII. Nebraska, A&M, why not ISU. I don't think he is really undersized. He could easily add enough weight by fall to be an effective DE.

Re: If we get him, what would eric harper play

If he was going to play DE for most of his career, i doubt the coaches would switch him around positions just cause hes a lil undersized. If he didnt redshirt, im sure he'd see the field at DE, just not a whole lot, maybe only passing plays. He only needs to put on a few lbs. Berryman was probably lighter his frosh year and tore it up just fine.

yeah... seems like he would be only pass rush as a freshman because at 220 he will get manhandled by the o-lines in the big XII in the run game

I'd think that he would be a DE all the way. After a RS year, he could end up at 240 fairly easily. By the time he'd be done, he could be up to 260.

I really hope that we get Harper, but it's Chase Harper that has me the most excited. Pelton has a history of turning guys like this into dominant DEs.

Must be a grades issue with interest from all those schools and decides to go to LaTech college of hairstyling.

It isn't a grade issue as he has already graduated (Dec Grad). It porbably game down to who could take him right now for second semester and LaTech is close to home.

Re: If we get him, what would eric harper play

Before the article cut me off, it said he was unable to enroll at A&M which led me to believe some classwork was not completed in an acceptable manner.

I don't know anything, so this is purely guess, but there might be different entrance requirements for LA Tech. That's why Terry Bradshaw went there.
