Thanks and great job with the pdf... worked perfectly. WOW, possible first round.... that would be HUGE!!!! Maybe Sheppard really is the great S&C coach we've been hearing about.

    Re: ahtyba info

I get the sporting news and couldn't believe what I was reading! I highly doubt he goes in the first round and going into the pre-draft stuff I wasn't really sure how he was going to do.

The 1 downside he has is he isn't much of a pass rusher but I guess if you can find a niche as a run stopper, at his size that might not be a bad thing.

I also noticed the comments about Sam Keller from NU. FINALLY! Somone else noticed that gawd-awful throwing motion of his. I can't believe that anyone thinks he can play in the NFL throwing the ball like that. How did some QB coach along the way not fix that? You might be able to get away with that in college, but not in the show.

Don't know Travman, one thing NFL teams covet is an athletic 325 lb d-tackle!!!! When you look at every great linebacker or great rush defense for that matter, it always starts with a big man in the middle - TUBA fills that and some....Its not all about getting pressure up the middle, its about filling space and scraping allowing LB to roam and make tackles....

I think Tuba has a great chance of being a late first rounder, early second rounder.....Its still my contention that had we had more guys working their butts off to get better like tuba did, we would have no problem making a bowl game every year.

This kid went from a "3*" offensive guard recruit into a potential first round, multi-millionaire because he worked his butt off - good for him....Consider this, the other 3 mentioned potential first round selections at DT are Glenn Dorsey 4* DT and #4 rated DT of his class 2004, Sedrick Ellis #5 rated DT class of 2003, and Kenton Balmer #37 rated DT class of 2004. Now Rubin dont even show a position rating coming out of high school and now he has developed into a first or second round player.....Thats dedication that will make him millions - we've had better, more highly touted guys recruited over the years, but, these are the guys that deserve it. Take nothing for granted, work their butts off and got better....

I can only hope that this same development was a combination of himself and our coaching staffs!!!!!

kNU fans knew, but they gave him a pass. He releases at the 4 foot level and will be prone to blocked balls.

    Two words: Pat Williams.

Starter in the Pro Bowl, allows Kevin Williams to rush the passer, makes a great deal of money.

Plus, there have been words suggesting that Tuba can improve his pass rush, that he's coachable. All good things. I was amazed to see him in the shape he was last season.

    Re: ahtyba info

Maybe around draft time we can a CyBookie on this but I would be surprised if Tuba goes in the first 2 rounds. He's currently rated 19th at his position on ESPN.com That might be a little out of date but there is plenty of time between now and then for players to move up/down the draft ratings.

    Ahtyba Rubin

From the west of the Shrine Game..

Players who helped themselves the most-

1.Ahtyba Ribin, DT, Iowa State. He wowed scouts at the weigh-in, looking unusually muscular and in shape for a 321-pounder, and built on that as the week went on. Rubin showed the brute strength to control one-on-one blocks, plus he flashed good athleticism. He may have moved himself into the first round.

    This comes from SprotingNews Magazine.

Ahtyba would be a perfect fit in 3-4.
