    Another article on Eikmeier's team

Quote from Wes in the Fremont Tribune. Wes is an unselfish team player, if he was out for himself he could be taking a lot more shots and getting more hype in the process.

While Eikmeier managed to take control of Saturday night’s game, he wanted to make it clear that he couldn’t have done it alone.

“I’m kind of sick and tired of hearing people say that we’re a one-man team,” Eikmeier said. “Anybody who watches us, after last night and tonight, can really tell that we’ve got a lot of guys who can step up and a lot of guys who can play big roles on this team.”

We are going to set up a pre-game get together on Feb. 9 for the game in Omaha, more details will follow, it is a night game. It would be great to get a large group of Cyclones to show Wes our support.

I love Wes E. Could be a very nice player at ISU, but I really hope, no matter how "big" he is, that he doesnt wear a t shirt under his jersey like he does in high school. Most of our current players wear a cut off shirt under their jerseys, but thats a horse of a different color.

I guess as long as he can play ball and make us better, he can wear a LE mock turtleneck.

He wears that t-shirt to hide his scrawny, puny, girlie-man upper body (said in my best "Hans and Franz" voice from SNL)!

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

If he's like I was, he wears a T-shirt underneath his jersey to protect his chest. Those jerseys are abrasive as heck to sensitive spots on your chest. They might as well be made of sandpaper.

    They might as well have.

I suppose I could have put band-aids over them to protect them during games. But darn, that would have hurt just as much in pulling them off.

Sounds like we will need George Costanza's 100% cotton jersey's (no pin-stripes please) for the next few years.

It's a natural fiber. It breathes.
