    Dane Cook

His special is on Comedy Central right now. I have tried to like him so many times, but he is terrible. I just don't get how people think he is so funny.

I really don't get him either. He's struck me as funny one or two times, and that is about it.

I think he's funny. I don't think he's the funniest person ever, but I don't dislike him at all. I have all his CD's and there is some really good stuff in there.

I am not actually sure who likes Dane Cook, I am guessing women must like him, because he is a no talent hack!

When I first heard him, I thought he was funny. Then my old roomies had the HBO special on for 2 weeks straight and he got old.

    Re: Dane Cook

bunch of doods hating on Dane Cook here. Well, I'll be the first to say I don't think his movies are A+ stuff, but he is absolutely hilarious and one of the biggest comedians who is totally on top of his game.

I never get sick of his stories, I love anyone who can think up an absolutely ridiculous, long stand up story. And Dane Cook and Dave Chappelle I think are two of the best at it. I can understand how some people might get annoyed by the "college frat boy cocky style" he has, but if you don't get his humor, you are probably just too far out of that lifestyle he speaks to.

The first time he got blown, that story is rolling on the floor funny - as well as the fight with the atheist and the "nothing" fight with the jelly.

He is even ten times funnier in person (saw him in Tourgasm at Stephens in Ames.) I will always be fan of Dane and the Su-Fi. But feel free to hate.

    Re: Dane Cook

yeah - i haven't been a huge fan either - and i think it's mostly because of the content. And by that i mean - most of the comedy comes from his inflection and how he says things. He'll say something absolutely not funny in a funny way and get the laughs. I think that's why it's so easy to laugh the first few times, and then get tired of him after a while. However, I guess you could say much the same about mitch hedberg, and i'm a big fan of his.....

    Re: Dane Cook

Dane Cook ripped off a ton of material from Louis CK. And Louis CK is hillarious, but Dane Cook butchers the same jokes. I don't get him at all.

    Re: Dane Cook

I think he's funny. Some of his later stuff has been a little lame.

    I'll take Mitch Hedberg anyday.

I believed in Gene Chizik and all I got was this lousy limited-edition commemorative coin.

I really liked Mitch Hedberg. Dane Cook's new stuff is alright, not as good as his old stuff. I really like Lewis Black, he is really freakin funny

I must disagree. I've listened to "Mitch All Together" at least 15 times and laugh every single time.

Dane Cook was quasi-funny in Waiting. I really don't understand how he could've drawn an audience as big as the one on Comedy Central tonight.
