Eikmeier plays in Lincoln, NE tonight

Bergan won 60-49 over the #5 team two classes above them.

They play tonight at Lincoln Christian High School against Boys Town in the Confernce Tournament finals, 6:00. Boys Town beat CB ST Albert 71-55. Boys Town is the #2 team 2 classes above them.

This would be a chance for anyone in the Lincoln area to see Wes play. I am planning on going to the game, if anyone wnats to get together before the game le me know.

I have linked the Fremont Tribune article.

NebrClone, what are people in Nebraska saying about him. He was one of few juniors to win Mr. basketball's last year. What kind of buzz follows him where he plays? Do Nebraskans appreciate high school basketball? Or is it all football? Thanks.

Re: Eikmeier plays in Lincoln, NE tonight

The fact a #5 team two classes ahead of another team lost tells me they don't have much basketball over there. Unless Bergan is really special this year (very possible) that shouldn't happen.

MaxPreps list Bergan as the #8 team overall in the state of NE, regardless of size, the team they beat was listed at #10. They are really good and a very deep experienced team.

Every coach he plays against talks about how they designed the defense to stop him and he scores a lot of points anyway. One coach said he was going to go to Wes' graduation just to make sure he was gone.

By ranking, they are like as good as Bellevue East ranked as "7 and better than most Omaha teams. Maybe this makes them about equivalent to a bottom of a Top Ten team in Iowa.
