Evidently the ESPN boys don't remember what happened the last time they had Iowa in the Top 10.
Again, Iowa has to win the prize as the most overated team in the country. Top 25, maybe.

That's why I think we lose 6 or 7 games this year. The five listed in the poll and 1 or 2 that Mac pisses away (like Baylor).

Time for new blood at the top.

Hopefully that idiot isnt on the AP commitee, then Iowa with a 7-5 record will be in the top ten, and the clones with a 9-3 record will be on the outside lookin in. Wow what an idiot, that guy needs to be fired. haha

How is the Mountain West getting so much respect? TCU rated 19th, which they deserve. But BYU and Utah both recieving votes. BYU went 6-6 last year with arguably no quality wins. Utah went 7-5 and had a couple of decent wins, such as Georgia Tech. It'll be interesting to see USC without Leinhart and Texas without Young. Seems to be no clear favorites at the top. I think Notre Dame will be better than #8. Quinn is gonna have a great year, and Darius Walker is back. Last year they went 9-3 while playing 5 rated teams. Two top 5 teams! Another tough schedule this year with Penn State, Michigan, and USC.

Texas just got less respect last night when running back Ramonce Tayplor was arresed for having 5 pounds of marijuana. Doid you notice that Northern Illinois had consideration as beinmg a top team? Was it Iowa or ISU that played them a while back?

Bryce- ISU had a 2 game series recently with NIU. ISU lost in DeKalb in a close battle that IMO set the tone for the rest of the '03 season, but that was a darn good NIU team that beat ISU (also beat Maryland and won AT Alabama that year). The Clonies got back in '04 in a high scoring affair in Ames.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

We lost some good players in that game at DeKalb that really hurt us in that game and the rest of the season. Was it Carstens and Hiawatha Rutland that went down in that game?

I know, I know it just seems when we get close to winning the North we **** it away. I'm getting sick and tired of putting everything into the Iowa game and then losing to teams we should blow off the field (Baylor-Kansas).

Mac has had 11 years to get this thing turned around. He's done a good job of stopping the bleeding but thats it.
We SHOULD have won the North Div the last 2 years (for god sake we were playing at home) and couldn't do it.
I feel it's time for a change and I give Mac kudos for what he's done at ISU. I just have a bad feeling about this year with Mac at the helm. The last 2 years we had a very favorable schedule and didn't take advantage of it and I blame Mac for that.

BTW, I hope I'm 100% wrong about this year.

If we're supposed to be a top caliber team, we need to go into every game assuming we will win if we play our best....realisitically this won't happen, but the outcome will surely be better if we have this attitude
