according to CR it sounds like he's going to be invited as a walk-on at ISU.... is he really gonna go for that because thats a really talented player to pick up and keep another scholarship free for someone else

    Re: LJ Gamblin

With an attitude change to walk on program, Nebraska is piling up some stong linebacker walk on dudes from Omaha/Lincoln who were linebackers - Jeremy Wallace and Matt Minninger.

The duo referred to in the story next to Gamblin are not committing outright to be walkons in Lincoln: Colin and Conor McDermott. Any relation to coach?

Maybe the Hawks will land the McDermotts with schollies.

How many Clones will be walking on? Seems to me this is one way to build a Gene stong will team. Earn your way to a schollie.

    Re: LJ Gamblin

he could easily be made into a DE. His speed isnt that big of a deal if they do. He would be a great pick up as a walk on. With player defection anymore, he might wind up with a scholarship before he graduates.

Or even before his freshman year begins.

I don't think that the McDermott twins are related to coach but Matt Manninger is related to a current cyclone player.

    Re: LJ Gamblin

I like Gamblin...he gets to the ball, is a good hitter and tackler. I hope he is in an I State uniform, either with a scholarship or walkon. We can use him.
