    2008 Football Season Ticket Sales

Okay - where does everyone think we'll end up for sales this year? Is there anyway we set another record?

I was trying to remember the date last year when JP announced that there would not be any single game tickets for Iowa. Think he'll do the same with NU this year?

Re: 2008 Football Season Ticket Sales

I thought that you couldn't buy single game tickets for the NU game unless they were hillsides.

I don't think we'll get as many this year as last year, but I didn't think we'd get as many as we did last year. We definitly could set a new record, but I would be surprised if we did.

Re: 2008 Football Season Ticket Sales

I didn't think we would sell what we did last year, but even though the home schedule isn't as good this year the team should be better just by the way the finished last year, so I really think we can hit 40,000.

Re: 2008 Football Season Ticket Sales

My guess would be less then last year: same price ($350), fewer games (6 instead of 7), re-indexing (which has upset some long time season ticket holders...)

That said, we're still picking up 4, even though we have now graduated from the Varsity level (more specifically the "under 30 set") and will now be paying full price across the board. And probably upping the donation for better seats.

about the same with the help of Nebraska fans who will be required to buy a season ticket to see their Huskers perform with their new Head Coach.

I thought Nebraska fans could buy single game hillsides. A lot of them will probably opt for that over 350 bucks.

Re: 2008 Football Season Ticket Sales

I can tell you that it'll be two less from last year. We are also transitioning from the Varsity level and will have a new baby this summer as well. I don't plan to buy a ticket for my wife and I'll probably just tailgate and buy tickets from buddies that can't make games.

Re: 2008 Football Season Ticket Sales

36,525 will be the total. After we go 6-7 next season (bowl loss) the number will be up near 40k for 2009.

Re: 2008 Football Season Ticket Sales

Sales will be down. Some people will be upset due to the price changing, others wont renew due to no Iowa game, others are tierd of seeing a bad team play. Those are not my words but words of other ticket holders.

Nebraska fans may buy a few season tickets, so that will offset some of the loses.

Are we going to include the student season ticket sales in this number?

Only if they buy hillside season tickets or Cy's Pack season tickets. All other season tickets require a donation to the NCC. Of course, there are single game hillside tickets for that game at $60, but there might not be many left of those when they go on sale August 1.

Since there probably won't be endzone season tickets left for Husker fans, looks like it will cost them either $99 for hillside season tickets or $195 for Cy's Pack to watch this game.
