    Re: Grant Gibbs Injured

With 2 minutes, 2 seconds remaining in the opening quarter, Gibbs got bumped on the head while attempting a dunk, and the subsequent hard landing left his left eye bloodied and his right wrist severely injured.
    Odd...wonder what exactly happened.

I think that is why white guys should not being trying to dunk. It's just not our thing. See what happens.

    Re: Grant Gibbs Injured

I dunno...looks like his momentum carried him too far on that. Maybe got a little help from the guy that was trailing him that went out of the picture on the right - but that one does seem to be mostly self-inflicted.

    Silly, no fun.

Just tried to dunk it to late, too far under the hoop, imo should of just laid it up.

Personally, I don't see how it has anything to do with race, but that's just me. I'm crazy like that...

    Re: Grant Gibbs Injured

We had something similar like that happen in high school. A kid on our team, Kenyatta Dix (played at K-state) went up for a two handed dunk and he ALWAYS dunked one handed. He had too much speed and it carried his feet too far under him, he landed square on his chest and literally BOUNCED about a foot in the air. When we were watching tape of the game the next day the coach rewound and slow-mo'd that play about 20 times...

    Re: Grant Gibbs Injured

I didn't see anyone undercut him. Looks like he tried to grab the rim and slipped off in an awkward position.

    Re: Grant Gibbs Injured

I dont about how it happened, but, his wrist looks pretty bad....thats too bad that he broke his shootin wrist of all things......

When i've seen others with similar injuries, he may need rods and pins to set that and that is a long healing process....

    Re: Grant Gibbs Injured

I didn't see any foul...looked like his momentum made him slip off the rim and come crashing down.

Yea it was his momentum and then he let go with one arm and didn't with the other one and kind of catapulted off the rim.

It happens more often than you think in HS bball, but usually guys catch themselves before they hit the ground.

    Wow that was NASTY!

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”
