    Nice game tonight

Nice win tonight. It was interesting to see all the dire predictions for the outcome tonight--eerily similar to 1 year ago before ISU played at Missouri--and won. Despite the poor free throw shooting and the inexplicable 3-point shot selection at times. Despite Missouri's high-pressure defense that was supposed to cause 20-25 turnovers. McDermott must have been outcoached.

You definitely shouldn't underestimate his coaching ability. On paper, it looked like Missouri was very strong where we were weak. Great game plan, great effort and great execution.

McD did a good job of using his timeouts earlier in the half to control the tempo of the game.

it appears that McD's system is finally getting through to the players. Everyone played well tonight. 1/16 from 3 is hard to explain, but other than that we were solid.

ISU has proved that they can play with anyone. The rest of the season could get very interesting. I see that TT is beating A&M.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't think they announced when he hit 20th on the ISU rebounding list (that was at a home game, wasn't it?).

I thought we looked more athletic tonight over all than did Mizzou. BP earned his wings tonight.

I watched in STL on FSN with the Mizzou announcers. Norm Stewart simply could not get over how may season tickets we sold this year. Speaks very well of Cyclone fans!

I wonder what Alien has jumped into "Mac's Body" since the Drake game...

I've never understood when people say this team doesn't have athletes. You don't get much more athletic than Rahshon, Wesley and Craig. Jiri is no slouch at the 5 either. When DG is running the point, I see a pretty darn athletic squad on the court.

    Re: Nice game tonight

We've had athlete's. Now we're starting to have an athletic team! Big difference as they adjust to their roles.

    Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
    'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

Yes but I hope you are right. Remember last year we were almost 3-0 to start the conference schedule and after that went downhill? That's why I'm still skeptical because we still have a lot of work to do with this current team. I loved how we started the game tonight and I hope we can see more of that consistently.
