    Harrison Barnes

I just want your take on the 6'6 ames sophmore, and if you think he ought to come to iowa state.

personally i think we should try and sign him as soon as possible. his stats may not be mind boggling at only around 15ppg but ive seen him play in person and boy he is a freak of nature athelte that can shoot the 3 as well.... Dear mcDermott sign this kid ASAP

Everyone is well aware of Haarrison and he currently holds an ISU offer. Word is, he is going to wait on his decision.

    Correct.

In addition, he participated in the Cap City league and has been a part of some ISU summer "practices". It's not a lock that he'll be a Cyclone by any means, but IMO, he's ours to lose.

    Re: Harrison Barnes

discussed many times in the past.

Barnes is a MAJOR target for ISU. Will be a HUGE disappointment if he doesn't come to ISU. He has stated he is not going to commit anytime soon however.

In one word, the kid is smooth. As isuno1fan stated he is a major target for the staff.

Which would be November of 2009.

I can't blame him for keeping his options open.

    Re: Harrison Barnes

The kid is a great sophomore basketball player. As much as it stinks for fans to wait for a verbal, he owes it to himself to "play the game" and get courted by as many schools as possible.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

So alothough you attempt"ed to say you didn"t understnad, now you do. Fair enough?

are u for real?... harrison is a sophmore at ames high, rivals lists him at 6 foot 6 and 187lbs (really probably 6'4 175 but w/e) he played varsity as a frosh (dunked on my school lol) and is a really athletic slasher type. for some reason he reminds me of rashon clark + better shot and moves offensively. defense wasnt great in the games ive seen but has length and could be good.... this guy is going to be really really good and i sure as heck hope we get him. it wouldnt suprise me to see his name in NBA boxscores in about 5-7years

he is actually 6'6, same height as Ben Cotton. he is an amazing athlete and can score basically any time he wants. Have seen him around the halls wearing ISU stuff.

Just picking on you a little bit here, Cycloneman003. All in good fun.

I did a search on this website for "Harrison Barnes". When I stopped counting, I had found 74 threads since August that had mentioned Harrison. There were 12 threads that had Harrison's name in the title.

I think it is safe to say that his name has reached near cult status around here.

Looking a tad bit like Kobe Bryant. He can shoot fom the outside real pretty. Steal, rebound, dunk, and dribble balls well. He can be all-balls in any league. He is super and would make our team solid.
