    Frustration

"We've been our own worst enemy," McCarney said. "We don't have guys loafing, there's not lots of turnovers - it's a block here, a throw there, a wrong route or a drop. We're trying everything we can to put it together."

    Re: Frustration

It's the D-Mac spin and it will continue as usual. The next 2 games are Key for the rest of season, it's make or break time for this team.

I actually thought he let his typical super-positive-well-we-won-the-2nd half guard down with this statement.

"We can't average 17, 18, 19 or 20 points a game and expect to have the kind of season we expect to have," McCarney said. "If we're going to have a good season, we have to be better."
    And he is right!

How is any of that "D-Mac Spin"? He's telling it exactly how it is...and yet...fans jump all over him.

    Re: Frustration

    20 pts a game?!?!!?!?! Zuh?!?!!?

I thought he said it was "happy horse crap" that we'd have to depend on our offense this season?

    Re: Frustration

It is what it is. Even McC is tired of second half oline follies to date:
"I think the offensive line has done a lot of good things," McCarney said. "I will be disappointed if we don't come on strong in the next eight games and show a lot of improvement. By the end of the season, we'll say this is a real good offensive line."

"We're our own worst enemy." That's not spin. In fact he's taking responsibility for their poor play so far.

By the end of the season, we'll say this is a real good offensive line.

The unfortunate part of this is that we need to be able to say it now...doesn't do us any good when the season is over.

Good Grief, What he is saying is that by the end of the season, we'll say it because of what they do from now to the end, not that they finally mature when we're done playing the season. You guys are starting to dig pretty deep to come up with something else to blame on Mac.

I sure hope the stadium workers keep toilet paper in the bathrooms or that will be the next thing to justify firing him.

I second that emotion. You know, the toilet paper could be better in the restrooms.

2-ply in a public bathroom?!?!? That's a pipe dream...That 6 cents you save on a roll of toilet paper is well worth hundreds of extra chapped *****.
