    My Last Thread

I just wanted to leave saying that I don't think Rahshon is perfect, as some of you seem to think, but I also don't think he is one dimensional, as some as you seem to think. Here are just a few of my thoughts and numbers on that topic:

    - For those of you that say he can only dunk. He has 69 career dunks. That's 138 points. He has 980 career points, so the other 842 points had to come from somewhere other than dunks.

    - He is ranked 9th in ISU history for 3 pointers made with 94. For those of you who don't realize, that's more 3's than dunks.

    - He is ranked 6th in ISU history for blocks with 94. I'm pretty sure blocks are an important aspect in basketball, otherwise they would not keep this stat.

    - He is ranked 13th in ISU history in steals with 130. Once again, defense is pretty important in basketball.

    - He is ranked 20th in ISU history in rebounds with 565.

    - He has been a defensive stopper, keeping the other team's best player from scoring their avg.

He put these numbers up while going through a coaching change that made him have to totally adjust to a different way of playing basketball and with different teammates each year. He sacrificed his offense for the better of the team, and no one can deny that, as his point totals went down drastically from his soph year. He has the ability to score more than just dunking, and anyone who watched him play as a freshmen or sophmore knows that. His weakness is his ability to dribble and everyone knows that, but I don't think that makes him a one dimensional player considering all of the other stats listed above.

That's just my opinion. Some may think otherwise.

CF was fun getting to see other people's opinions on our team! One thing we can all agree on is that we all want the Cyclones to do well! Go Clones!

I am lost, were people badmouthing Rashon? I think he is awesome, every team needs a defensive stopper and rebounder. What would he bulls have been without Rodman? Too many people overlook the importance of defense.

Rahshon is the type of person and player who Cyclone fans can embrace. He plays hard, he enjoys the game, he feeds off the crowd, he stays out of trouble, he is faithful to Cyclone Country, and I hope he stays healthy and has a monster Big 12 season to finish his college career!

I certainly missed out on those badmouthing Rahshon. He's been a team player in his entire stay here at Iowa State, and he will be sorely missed after the end of this season.

Some of the dunks should have counted as 3 points just because they were awesome.

    Re: My Last Thread

I guess I have always thought of Rahshon as a good 3 pt shooter with the ability to make sweet looking dunks on fast breaks or when the opportunity presents itself. If people were bad mouthing him I don't know why. Everybody I know is glad to have him on the team, and I thought it seemed that way on here too.

    Re: My Last Thread

I saw one post badmouthing him and it was stupid and completely out of line. I'd call the poster a specific name if there were no rules.

Rashon has made great strides in his game and should be proud of his accomplishments.

    Re: My Last Thread

I didn't see people honestly ripping on Clark. I saw it done in response to some other things in a feeble attempt to prove a somewhat valid point.

    Good luck to ya.

From what I gather CYFan13 had some posts that were taken out of context:

    Re: My Last Thread

Rahshon is one of my all time favorite cyclone players. One of the reasons is the way he stuck with the program through a tough time most kids now a days would take the easy way and leave like most did. Clark has gotten better at defense and also has become a better 3 point shooter and dribbler then he was a soph. He is a great cyclone.
