    Beef Jerky Recipes

I love this stuff but it's so expensive. Does anybody have any good recipies that you can make in the oven? I don't have a dehydrator. Thanks guys!

We make it often in regular oven and like it better than most you can buy. We just buy seasoning packet at grocery store, I think it is "Mountain Jerky". I think its about $6 to season 20#. Fairway has the best meat & will slice it for you to pick up the next day.

How long do you cook it in the oven and at what temp? I was thinking about getting the meat from Fairway, I'd heard that before.

you season both sides then refrigerate 24 hrs. 200 degrees for about 1 hour 20 minutes or so. I like the original & the pepper, didn't care for cajun.

Can I use all the round steak I got as part of this half cow? I hate that stuff it is so hard to use for anything, but I never thought of jerky!

Yes, it would be less tough than the brisket.

Wow, thanks guys, I love CF, I have 25lbs of this crap meat, I had just been using the steaks as roasts or chop it up into small pieces for use in chili, or slicing it thin and using it as stir fry.

An electric knife works great for slicing.

    Re: Beef Jerky Recipes

I haven't tried this one yet but I'm going to soon. I'll let you know how it is. It's getting great reviews. Made with a dehydrator, which I have had better luck with. Much easier to prep and clean up. Plus I can never get it to dry out as much with the oven.
