    Cyclones Firefox Theme

After reading the thread a few days ago about an ISU Firefox theme I gave it a go and came up with one. I have never made a theme for Firefox before, so it's pretty rough at the moment...but if anyone wants to check it out and give feedback that'd be awesome (I'm not sure it'll show up the same on every computer).

Here's a screenshot of what it should look like:

Here's the file to install the theme:
    http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/...1&d=1200293915

    Instructions to install:

    1. Changes the file extension to .jar instead of .zip (I wasn't able to upload a jar file to cyclonefanatic).
    2. Under the Tools menu in Firefox select Add-ons.
    3. Drag the cyclones.jar file into the Add-ons window. Click install and after the file has installed, go back to the themes menu and enable the theme.
    4. Restart Firefox.

Let me know if any of this doesn't work for you, as well as if something doesn't show up right on the theme or if you have any suggestions to make it better. Again, this is my first time and it's pretty rough.

    Re: Cyclones Firefox Theme

I just installed it...it looks pretty sweet!

I like the new logo on the left, and everything shows up correctly for me.

looks very good...can you set the tab colors up to be red or yellow so they change for whichever tab is active?

I was just gonna say that the theme doesn't appear to extend to the tabs.

mustangwinner97's idea is a great one for this problem.

    Re: Cyclones Firefox Theme

The theme is very cool. It is a little busy, but still very cool. Simple is sometimes better. Maybe simplify it down by getting rid of the lightning and the football players. That may be too plain for some, but a logo and matching colors is really all you need for a nice simple look.

    Re: Cyclones Firefox Theme

Really cool! Just a few suggestions:

    1. Change tabs and tab bar colors (suggested already)
    2. Make the "Home" button a little picture of JTS or Hilton
    3. Make the "Refresh" button a cyclone/tornado
    4. Make the "Stop" button an ISU helmet or maybe a basketball.
    4. Although the new logo in the toolbar is cool, it takes up too much space. Can you put that in the background? Or make it smaller?

These are just suggestions. I'll be using it whether you make any changes or not

Maybe have two versions. One that's a little less "busy".

I'd say may the "Stop" button an "X"ed out Hawkeye logo or helmet. It'd also be cool if the home button were a "cartoonized" version of either JTS or HC. Just sayin'

You could be starting a huge and nasty debate here! LOL! Preference in my opinion. I really like Firefox and enjoy the options that allow you to personalize the look and capabilities. Just my opinion...

Yeah, but I guess I'm also of the opinion I don't want the stop button to be directly Cyclone related, as it seems a little anti-Cyclone to me. Better anti-Hawk than anti-Cyclone...

One of the reasons I initially switched to Firefox was for the tabbed browsing. But, since IE7 has that now it's not an issue. I still use Firefox though because there's a lot of handy Add-ons for software developers.
