    Chris Campbell WR recruit

Not to toot my own horn here, but i brought up this name about 6 months ago as a guy I thought we should be looking at. I grew up in the same town as him and went back for a couple games so I guess I was slightly biased. I realize that Cherokee runs a spread offense and rarely runs, but isn't that a good type of WR to go after? One who catches the ball a lot? I know he probably wouldn't get a ton of time at ISU but I'm sure he could help on special teams and maybe be a Jack Whitver of sorts. This kid is fast and from my old ball coaches info did very well at the nike camps. He is listed on rivals free info as a current recruit of ours....

Ask and you shall receive, but it doesn't have a lot to offer. I know for a FACT that he runs in the low 4.4's for his 40 and that he is fast with pads on too. His older brother currently plays safety at SDSU and was also a good athlete.

Could be a viable walk on, but i guess that I don't see him getting a scholly offer at that size.

    Re: Chris Campbell WR recruit

I think the same things were said of Jordan Carstens when he came in as a walk on 190 lb defensive lineman. Not saying he's the next Carstens, but with hard work, determination, a couple of Whoppers, and a little bit of luck maybe he'll be a solid contributor...

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

Ter'Ran Benton, Darius Darks, Leonard Johnson, and Lonzie Range are all current recruits and are only around 10 pounds heavier. I guess the weight doesn't bother me that much. Lonzie Range is 6'2" and only weighs 176. That bothers me more.

Carstens weighed at least 220 when he came to ISU. I used to work for the family.
