    Important Weekend for Cyclone Basketball

It is a huge recruiting weekend for the future of Iowa State basketball as Craig Brackins, Andre McFarland and Kenton Walker will all be in town this weekend.

As Jeremy reported earlier the ISU mens basketball team will be having an open pick-up game on Saturday around 1 pm in Hilton Coliseum. The visiting recruits are expected to be in attendance and possibly even participating in the pick-up game. I think it would be great if we could have a large contingent of Cyclone fans at the pick-up game.

If you see them Saturday show them some love and let them know you want them to be Cyclones.

Need help picking them out of the crowd? Here are photos of the visiting recruits:

What are the chances that McFarland would commit this weekend and leave with him giving us a verbal without his good buddy and teammate Stinnett not with him. I know Stinnett has been here before on an unofficial visit. It seems to me that since they will be playing at the same university (wherever that may be., hopefully IOWA STATE) that they would commit at the same time.

I think this is a great weekend for ISU bball too, but i think this is another case of Clizone linkbaiting. I have no problem with people openly promoting their site, but linkbaiting - like this - is a hot way to build your own site's traffic in a somewhat underhanded way.

But, hey, we're all on the same pep bus, right?

Re: Important Weekend for Cyclone Basketball

cojo - I definitely want people to visit my site, but what I want more than anything else is to promote Cyclone athletics. This weekend is absolutely huge for Cyclone basketball and I want everyone to make these recruits feel at home in Ames. I think are chances are very good at landing three new commitments in the very near futrure.

I have been linking the site from all three of the other ISU sites (Cyclone Fanatic, Cyclone Nation and Cyclone Report) as well as the opponent sites. All three sites have been kind enough to allow me to provide these links and I am promoting their websites as well. I think the things we are doing on our site compliment what the other sites are doing on theirs.

The site is completely free so there is no real benefit to me other than to inform and entertain current Cyclone fans and to hopefully create new ones. I spend many hours working on the site and it would be pointless for me to continue if people didn't visit the site.

I want more fans to come to Cyclone Fanatic, and I want more fans to join Cyclone Nation and Cyclone Report because that means more Cyclones are becoming fanatical. I also want fans to go to www.cyclones.com, the new website is awesome and I hope fans have been taking advantage of watching the free videos. There are a lot of great Cyclone resources and I want to inform Iowa State fans about them, there is a link to all of the great Cyclone websites on the front page of our site. Please visit them all.

There was one whole post without even one link to the site.

    Go Cyclones!! ISU! ISU!

I heard that Stinett is coming this weekend on an "unofficial" visit.

Re: Important Weekend for Cyclone Basketball

There are conflicting reports as to whether a pick-up game is going to happen. If it is going to happen, it will more than likely not be in Hilton as the floor is not ready to go do to the installation of the new scoreboard.
