    A few thoughts:

Rank 1. Most everyone knew the SEC was tough.. but only losing 2 games out of 9 (ARK and FL) ... wow, that is impressive.

Rank 2. Pac-10 did pretty good, it is tough NOT to put them ahead of the Big12, but I put them at a tie since the only head to head the Big12 won (TX vs ASU). If you take that out, imo, they are in solid at #2. They should only be mediocre next year as they will just be top heavy in USC.

Rank 2. Big12 did a great job representing. I didn't realize this but the only school not to travel from the south was Baylor (yikes!). The north did very well 2-1, considering the beating we take in the media before each year.

Rank 3. Big East. "smaller no-names" proved they can play.

Rank 4. Big11Ten. Again they burst their own media bubble in Dec and January. While I will never admit it gets old (watching them crap it down their leg), it is tiresome each pre-season to hear the hype.

These are just a few random thoughts I had about the bowls and I am glad it worked in my favor again this year for the smack talk I like to put out to my UofI 'friends'.

    Re: Conference Records

If that wasnt Lloyd Carr's last game, IMO, Michigan would have rolled over. That was a great game to watch!

    Agree with your rankings

    Re: Conference Records

I agree with your rankings. I think the Big 10's bubble was burst Week 1 of the year, and they proved that wasn't just a fluke.

SEC is clearly the best conference in the nation, followed by the Big 12/Pac 10, Big East, ACC and then Big 10.

I still put the ACC ahead of the Big 10, even though they had a slightly worse record, since Florida State was down 35 players and still hung with Kentucky, and Clemson took Auburn to overtime.
