    Michael Vick Now In Kansas

Mike Vick was transfered to Leavenworth, Kansas.

Apparently he has been entered into drug therapy, if he completes that he could be out in as soon as 12 months. . .

Do other inmates in the federal prison system get the chance to be transferred and enter a "drug therapy" program to shorten their sentances if they have smoked weed a few times???

Re: Michael Vick Now In Kansas

    Kinda odd.

This SI article last month suggests he has to serve 85% of his 23 months.

He's also is going to trial for state charges, unless that's been dropped...(?)

You'd be surprised, usually there are programs that guys can do to get out of prison early. I used to work with a guy that only served 12 months for selling hardcore drugs in Florida. He was a real class guy.

Ha! Flight tracker for coaches, prisoner tracker for players. Another CF first!

Wonder if KF has it in his "favorites".

    Good job outta you.

Vick will be back in the league before you know it. Think about the hack qb's that were actually playing this year for some teams. If any team would pick up a 40 year old to actually play qb for their team..somebody will roll the dice on Vick

And you know full well that his high dollar legal team knows every trick to get him out ASAP. Terms for public figures are nothing more than a jumping off point for sentence negotiations.

Re: Michael Vick Now In Kansas

Well, considering the guy I used to work with was a complete waste of space and he got out that early, I would be really surprised to see Vick spend 12 months in jail.

I would rather have a guy take classes and courses so he can see why what he did was wrong than have him be bottled up for longer to stew about it and then just make the same mistake again.

I hope my tax dollars are not used to keep this guy in prison longer than 12 months. I think a year in Leavenworth is plenty of time to repay his debt to society. What he did was definitely stupid, but we do have bigger crime issues to worry about.

Considering the Falcons' QB situation this year and the almost 180 degree flip-flop the fanbase did in Atlanta, well, I wouldn't really want it to happen, but Vick was certainly better than anything we had this year...

Here's my conspiracy theory of the day. On one of the local sports talk shows this morning they had somebody that knew all the ins and outs at Leavenworth (didn't hear if he used to be a prisoner or just worked there or what) and he said that to qualify for this program you had to have a positive drug test.

Well, Vick failed a drug test while he was out on bond which, at the time, everyone thought was possibly the dumbest move ever since he knew he was going to be tested. But, is it possible his lawyers told him to fail it on purpose so he would qualify for the rehab program and the time off that comes with it?

    Or am I overanalyzing this?

Your tax dollars however went to pay for US Marshals and a jet to fly the loser to Kansas, and for his "drug treatment".
