Great match-ups in 2nd round playoff action

    Jags @ Patriots - Saturday @ 7pm

I think the Jags are the most well-equipped team to face and possibly defeat the Pats. Tough defense...great ground game and a QB that doesn't make a ton of mistakes. If the weather is windy/snowy/wet in Foxboro next weekend, I may even be inclined to give the Jags a slight edge.

    Chargers @ Colts - Sunday @ Noon

SD is on a roll lately and the Colts are getting healthy. Chargers pounded the Colts earlier this season, yet the Colts were missing many weapons they'll have next weekend. Should be a fun game featuring a pair of dynamic players (Manning and LT).

    Giants @ Cowboys - Sunday @ 3:30

Intriguing game, these two played twice this year with Dallas winning both...however the last game was 2 months ago. Giants been playing well down the stretch and the 'Boys have not...and have a few guys trying to get healthy.

    Seattle @ Green Bay - Saturday @ 3:30 (FOX)

Holmgreen returns "home" again - the last time the game went into overtime, Matt said on the PA after winning the toss "We want the ball and we're gonna score!". Instead, he threw an interception and the Pack won the game.

Save up your credits, it should be a great weekend to relax and watch the playoffs next weekend.

I thought I saw this after the Giants game today; They have won 8 games in a row on the road? opening game loss at Dallas, now 8-1 on the road this season. As bad as they've looked at times this year, that's impressive.

Anyone think the NFC matchups are just blah... I love those AFC ones, but the NFC ones really do not interest me. Maybe the back vs boys in the championship, but Seattle and the Giants just do not excite me at all.

Yup...I happened to have listed them in order of what I feel are the better games. NFC games this weekend don't hold a candle to what I think the AFC games will be.

The Giants surprised me today... If Eli can play that well next week they have a chance against the 'Boys.

GB will light up and smoke the sea chickens...

The Chargers have NO CHANCE against the Colts, the Titans disappointed me today, they could have won that game.

I don't really know much about the Jags, but it is tough to pick against NE.

The best chance for a road team win appears to be Seatte.

Can we get a 4 pack you pick em on CyBookie - if you get all 4 right, you get extra credits????

I'd actually contend the best chance for a road win would be the Giants...and I'm a Cowboy fan. I don't see Seattle being closer than 10 points on Saturday.

22, I agree. Crappy weather in Foxboro sets up better for opposing teams, as I think we saw against the Jets.

I agree as well, and you know I am a Cowboys fan as well too. It's just weird during the regular season though I watch a lot more NFC games usually, because if I am back at the rents home, my dad is a Bears fan, my best buddy up at college is a Pack fan, and I am a 'Boys fan. So we are usually watching something NFC. Oh yeah, and also FOX's coverage is only 99 times better than CBS.

Re: Great match-ups in 2nd round playoff action

I watch far too much NFL football (or football in general for that matter)...that is...if such a thing exists - too much football.

AFC is just at another level. I think the rankings aught to look like...

    Patriots
    Colts
Jags (behind Colts only by a hair)
    Cowboys
    Chargers
    Packers
    Giants
    Seahawks

I could easily put the Chargers ahead of the Cowboys with the way Dallas has wrapped up the season and the Chargers are surging to finish.

I agree that they all seem like great matchups, but the opening lines seem to disagree.

    Seattle vs. Green Bay (-8.5)
    Jacksonville vs. New England (-11.5)
    San Diego vs. Indianapolis (-8.5)
    New York vs. Dallas (-7.5)

Granted, these are just the opening lines, but they seems kind of high spreads to me.

I think all those lines look good with the exception of the Giants/Dallas. The Cowboys haven't looked very impressive over their last few games and the Giants are good on the road and hungry.
