    Sat. pre-game warmup

Does anyone here have a few drinks anywhere before the games? Most games we go to TipTop for pre-game but thinking about Old Chicago or Legends for Sat. Which is better or is there somewhere else everyone goes?

    Re: Sat. pre-game warmup

My couch on Steinbeck Street. I can treat myself to a nice TV, some Bud Light, and even some nice Salsa Merengue music if I choose to.

The couch even reclines and makes the beer flow more smoothly down the throat, then I head to the game, althought "being under the influence" is prohibited by Cyclone Alley, well that's too damn bad

    Don't ask, don't tell.

I would recommend Okoboji Grille at their new location at the corner of Duff and Lincoln Way. Nice and clean.

And the beer is cold as ice!

The new Okoboji is nice, it blows the old one by North Grand away. But we like to go to Welch Ave Station. We usually get about $4 pitchers(during the day) and order some kick arse pizza and DRUMMIES! I never appreciated their pizza while i was there and the drummies are to die for.

We stopped at Okoboji but it was a 30 minute wait to get in. TipTop had open seats

Where Cafe Northwest used to be. Next door to Butch's Amoco, across the street from Flowerama.

I guess we'll try Welch Ave. next time. I lived across the street from Welch Ave when I was in school. Hung out there a lot but didn't consider going there 10 years later We also like Legends but it just seems a little more hassle than we'd like.

    Re: Sat. pre-game warmup

We went to West Towne Pub tonight for the first time, not a bad place at all. Good menu of both beer and food, all we had were appetizers but they were very good. Only complaint would be their tv's could be a little bit bigger.... Went to watch the Seahawks game and could barely see. Go Seahawks, play Seneca next week at Green Bay!

Bottom line- I wish that place had been there when I lived on Steinbeck 6 years ago!

I live close to west towne pub, but have never gone there. For one reason, because of that commercial they have on tv.. it's the most annoying commercial i have seen, and its a little cheesy.

Oh, that's too far west for us. It's funny though. I don't think there was anything out that way when I was in school.
