They're a lot better than us. That's all I'm going to give them credit for, because it doesn't take a whole lot to be better than Iowa State in football.

Re: Just how good is NDSU?

This year they are probably equal or a tad worse than UNI and likely give EIU the same scare in IC UNI did.

To compare them directly to a 1A I would say a weaker North Texas (UNT beats them 7 out of 10 times) and probably goes about 2-6 in the sun belt.

NDSU last score was on a 90+ yard run with 3 minutes left in the game after UNI's defensive emotional leader went down with a devastating season ending injury. UNI went down hill fast without 2 of their best players injured and lost their next 3 in a row in OT and a total of 5 in a row before they could right the ship. UNI was not deep enough to sustain injuries to their best players. UNI was closer to NDSU then many would think.

They also lost Kohlmorgan for the last 3 or 4 games. They lost a lot of players to injury actually. They creamed a top 10 McNeese St team between the ISU and N Dak St games. UNI was pretty good last year until the injury collapse. 1AA teams aren't blessed with depth. Then again, neither are we.

This is spot on.. His angles on running plays were not very good.

Well big 12 live guys think ndsu is for real. I know I'm over the top but NDSU is a top 50 "program" where on any given Saturday can be #25 or #75.

Re: Just how good is NDSU?

I really like what I've seen of NDSU. Knew that coming into today. They have a great FCS program that plays fundamentally sound football. I was wondering as I watched them beat us today who else may they have beaten had they played someone else today? Would they have beaten Kansas State again? I wouldn't be surprised to see them hang with or beat at least 5 or 6 Big 12 teams.

I think NDSU loses plenty in FCS play. Their win against us wasn't impressive. We are just that bad. Congrats NDSU, enjoy your win against an 0-12 Iowa State team.

Re: Just how good is NDSU?

The good news is, I think losing to NDSU probably holds more water than losing to ISU.

It's not a matter of how good are they, but how bad are we.

If ISU somehow wins some games other than Toledo and KU this season, they are pretty good.

Not very good. Not even as good as UNI a year ago. Low to mid-level MAC team IMO.

They did help get Turner Gill fired, but before you get your hopes up, we do not have the boosters KU has.

They're better than a low to mid-level MAC team. They've proven that the last few years, I think they would win 3 or 4 games in the B12. They've beat us, K-State and Kansas the last few years, all on the road. Texas Tech, TCU and West Virginia would all be winnable games for them as well.
