Yeah, Brackens should start. At least he can tackle.

The thought of the ISU team we saw today against Baylor, OU, etc is frightening. Baylor's record breaking margin of victory against ISU may only stand for one year.

Baylor could have put up 100 today. Our offense and ST did not give up any points today. That probably is not true against a good team.

CPR had better figure out a way to get his playmakers the ball or he isn't going to have any playmakers at all. Hell, what am I saying? He's gone after this season no matter what now.

But seriously, where was Aaron Wimberly today? Where was Bibbs? Why aren't the good players being put in a position to succeed?

This looks a lot like the Donnie Duncan teams. Not sure what everyone else saw, but I saw an ISU team that was out of shape today. Tired and not in good enough shape.

A few people on this site act like losing Tom Farniok is like losing Micheal Jordan...Tom is a hell of a center, but my god people, he isn't the best player in the country.

We knew NDSU was running and exactly what play was coming and still could not stop it. Talent isn't there on defense to fix this, it just isn't there. Need to score 42 points minimum to win the game and we don't have a QB or Oline, or receivers capable of that.

Lol, we did not know exactly what play was coming. Not all offenses are as easy to defend as ours.

It cause Brackens enjoys being a college kid and having fun instead of living and breathing football at all times.

Brackens was in the doghouse, but yes he looked like he came to play today.

    Wow, you are deep.

You really think that he walked in the locker room and was like "tough one guys, practice Monday at 2" wait YOU probably do.

No-one is happy. This was the biggest game of his career at Iowa State so far. He knew that. But he also has a bunch of young players on the roster. The thing to do now is flush it and coach them up. That is ALL they can do.

Standing there ******** all over these kids like you and so many other of the "fans" want to do, will serve no purpose. It is week one.

All of the other decisions you and the others are so gleefully anticipating will happen at the end of the year. If he is going down, then he needs to go down coaching the way he wants.

Brackens is lucky to still be on the team, see Rodney Coe!

I'd take him and Irving right now. Some how, some way, you have to avoid that attrition.
That said, we are so poor overall that it would not make enough of a difference.

Re: CFTV: Paul Rhoads' postgame presser (NDSU)

I usually watch his pressers in their entirety. However, today I turned if off within the first minute or two - right after he was talking about the NDSU offense and how "it is designed to wear you down and that is what they did today". It was great that he was honest, BUT, if your own offense is sustaining drives, your D gets some rest and the NDSU offense doesn't have the opportunity to wear you down. 14 freeking points is NOT going to cut it against any team, let alone KSU, Baylor and OU.

Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

I'd take 14 points against Baylor. That would double our efficiency from last year!
