So Chizik was the worst coach in history and now you're using that to back up Rhoads?! Goodness you're blind. Rhoads has also had six years to turn this program around and it's obvious he's regressing. He remind me of McCarney: any time this program gains momentum, it falls apart and gets worse.

Long term we would have been better off with Chiz than CPR. McCarney is a better coach than CPR.

I love his passion but at the end of the day he needs to win.

Seriously, let's just fire CPR and hire Fred. He can come in and wave his magic **** stick and make everything better. We all know he pisses excellence and it can't be that hard to coach a football team. Oh yeah, rabble rabble rabble...

This basically has zero to do with the subject at hand, other than to say we support football so we shouldn't have to watch this crud.

Unless some pretty special things happen in the next couple of months, that new endzone is going to look really stupid next year empty.

Sorry - not really buying the Mac better than CPR, at least on gameday coaching. Loved them both as people. But Mac was a wuss on gameday. The definition of "play not to lose". At least CPR has a pair.

And I'll be happy with 0-13 before I ever say I'd rather have Chiz (hindsight being 20-20)

    Re: My Third CPR Thread...

Who are these guys supporting CPR still , you come from a 3 win season and then you start the new season by getting blown out by an FCS team in your house. So CPR did not do **** in the off season. This guy has no idea how to evaluate talent and coach them. Time to give some one else 2 million a year. I say mangino take over this team. CPR probably infected the great mangino with his stupidity

No, you said it can't get worse. You are wrong because it was worse. Just correcting you.

    Re: My Third CPR Thread...

At this point, keeping McCarney really wouldn't have been any worse would it? But then, that is perfect hindsight.

What is most disappointing is that the program does not seem to progress at all in terms of performance on the field, and in fact seems to be going in the opposite direction. From the looks of things today......this very well could be an 0-12 season, although even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while.

Recruiting is weak at best, and it seems there is no depth at all. The whole offense seemed to come to a stop as soon as the starting center went out. Maybe understandable, but certainly it should not be acceptable.

As I said earlier.....the only part of the program to improve in the last 6 years is the facilities. The fans have done their part.......they deserve a much, much better product and effort on the field.

-Be kind. That is something you will never regret. You will never say to yourself when you are old "I wish I was not good to that person".

No way to know for sure. Didn't he go winless in SEC two years after his title? Doesn't scream upward trajectory to me.

He was the puppet on that coaching staff. Anyone that thinks we would have been better off with Chiz long term is insane.

People are just a little irrational right now.

So back to back years losing to FCS schools is better than Chizik? I hate Cheesedick as much as anyone else here, but Rhoads in his sixth year is no step up from him. And he's not any better than McCarney.

We went 9-3 in McCarney's 6th season. This is Rhoads' 6th season and we are headed to our second-straight 3-9 season.
