    Role Reversal

Is it possible this year that we lost to Iowa and then go onto conference play and rip it up?

Iowa did this in 2002, 2005 so now maybe we go on to great things in the big XII and Iowa stumbles in the big 10 (which I believe they will).

Who else thinks this is possible?

We have the team for such a run. Now lets make it happen.

I just hope if we lose a few out of the gate doesn't mean disaster for this teams confidence.

    Re: Role Reversal

I hope you're right. DMAC has not shown the track record for this to happen thus far. He's a great motivator for Iowa, but then the conference goes down the tubes.

I think he freaks out his own players with his comments to the media..."They're the best you'll see," "We're gonna have our hands full," "We better come to play mistake-free football to give ourselves a chance," etc. Why doesn't he say something like "Texas better not overlook the Cyclones or they'll get beat. We are a hard-working football team that's determined to beat every team we line up against!" That would rally the troops! Quit giving the opponent too much credit BEFORE the game is even played DMAC!!!

Iowa will not stumble, there schedule is way to easy, they will at MOST 3 games, but i see no more then 2. Plus we want our loss at Iowa to look respectable, and if they flop, it will not look good for us.

The last two years in a row, ISU lost their first 3 conference games and bounced back, I doubt it'd change this year.

    Re: Role Reversal

    AMEN!AMEN!AMEN!AMEN!AMEN!AMEN! and AMEN!!!!

DMac has done some things really right while coach for ISU, recruiting is
a HUGE one, but just when he's convinced me that our talent has
REALLY improved as much as he says (and I believe it has) he goes
and blows up the opponents to the point where you almost hate to
    play the game.

Come on MAC, let's show these young men we believe in them

If somebody drops the ball, give it to him again...if somebody drops a
pass...throw it to 'em again, if somebody blows a coverage on a guy
he obviously has the talent and ability to cover, put him on a GD
    island and challenge his *****

win or lose, if we attack the rest of the season like we did most of the
first half last week, heads can most assurredly be held high.

    m

let me add to that, if we attack the rest of the season the way we did
most of the first half last week, I believe the WORST we end up is
    9/3

Iowa will play on New years Day because they have the famous Tator to showcase. ESPN loves the Tator.

Yep, Tate is a espn fav. As for myself, I think he is nothing but a hot headed punk, but I can not deny what he has done. Plenty of wins, pretty good stats and has taken EIU to some nice bowls. But I still think he's a punk...

    Re: Role Reversal

Our season has nothing to do with Iowa, outside of one game per year.
