I think your expectations are way too low. Without McKay, I expect him to play about 5-10ish minutes a game early on. Especially when we won't have Nader in the first couple of games.

50/50 is based on the fact that he may not be on campus yet. Once there is confirmation that he is enrolled and has joined the team, then I would put the odds closer to 90% that he plays this year.

When was his official visit? Like a week ago? I thought he was coming back 11 days later?

Sounds like from the quotes from him and his family that he is invested in an American education and Iowa State.

    I would have to agree.

Not nearly the hype on this one--you can't teach 7'1", but I think everybody involved is much more realistic about his "raw" status and being a long way from home
Fred is much better than Morgan when it comes to handling players, particularly "non-traditional" ones
Upperclass-heavy team at this point where, behind Niang, McKay, and Hogue, not sure I see a ton of playing time for him unless he vastly exceeds expectations/disaster happens with injuries

I'm all for Fred taking a handful of flyers to prepare for life after Niang and McKay starting two years from now. This one is acceptable to me, given we weren't exactly doing much else with that scholarship.

First thing he is going to have to learn is to not read socisl media, especially CF. This kind of speculation is totally uncalled for. He said he will be here. He is excited to come, to be a Cyclone and get an education at an American school. That should be enough. The biggest risk here was NCAA eligibilityand he got past that. Let's at least see the kid on the court, even in practice before we dis him.

huh? how old are you people? Did you forget Andrew Skogland, Tyler Peterson, Lee Love, Aaron Agnew, and a few other stiffs?

This Greek kid will be light years better than some of our past role players or bench warmers

"There will also be a meet-and-greet with the NEW members of this year's men's basketball team from 9-10 a.m."

You might see the Greek before Saturday's game

Heaven forbid he misses syllabus week, or the week after, for that matter.
