    How good is KSU going to be this year? I haven't heard much about them.

    Snyder always excels with a second year senior quarterback, Jake Waters. A couple holes at offensive tackle and running back. Solve those and K-State could have one of those magical seasons and send Snyder off in high fashion. If not, they'll finish in the middle of the league.

    Re: Dave Sprau on K-State podcast discussing Cyclone football ...

    As a K-State fan let me say we look at ISU much as you see yourself when you think about it but with the "benefit " of winning most of the time weve played in recent history. We see you as a team very similar to ours who hasnt turned the corner very often. We look at it with a warm fuzzy and general hope for success for you but thats easy to do when we beat you. Most if not EVERY KSU fan i know NEVER takes ISU for granted and in fact its almost always one of the games i worry about most and this year is no exception. Playing in Ames so early in the season has me seriously worried, and will probably be a game in which we will know where our season is headed. I think CPR is a great coach and adding Magino strengthens your team IMHO. KSU has a lot of qestion marks this year that many fans are sweating. We have the "horses" to do really good things this year but most of us are waiting to actually see the product perform on the field. Its very unSnyderlike to have to play a game like this this early in the year but it will be a good matchup before having to face Auburn.

    There's some truth to this. Unable to turn the corner after a great start in 2002, poor performances late in games in 2005, and in 2012 due to a huge injury on defense and an inept OC.

    If ISU can't win the Big 12 in football, I root for KSU next. Had never felt so welcome as I did last yea rin Manhattan. I guess I'm a fan of the state schools the most as I like OSU also. They were gracious to me as I left after we killed their title hopes.

    2005 had the potential to be a double digit winning season.

    Losses:

    @ Nebby - missed a game winning INT in OT
    Baylor - fumbled twice , once on the goal line
    @Missou - another overtime heartbreaker
    @ KU - yet another overtime heartbreaker

    sounds weird, but with some breaks, that is as close as we've probably ever gotten to undefeated. We even played TCU close in the bowl game.

    I would be ok with this. The last 4 games of the year are very winnable. If we can sneak 2-3 wins early on this year. We could maybe sneak another 3-4 towards the end of the year and sneak into a bowl game. This years team could be very very sneaky... I like that
