Whenever I hear Peyton Manning, it reminds me of Peyton Manthing.

Who are the insane people saying Manning? If only fantasy was as simple as "what individual player scores the most points in a season".

Manning is a second round pick at best!

I actually don't think that is all that far out there. Forte touched the ball 3 less times then McCoy last season and scored one more touchdown. The Bears have a pretty balanced offense and Trestman is also an offensive mind. No way I will pick Forte over McCoy, but if Forte was your second pick, I wouldn't think bad of it at all.

I'm also a Redwings fan, oddly enough. Add the obvious Iowa State fandom and we're 3 for 3.

That's the reason I would be thrilled with any top 4 pick. McCoy, Charles, AP, and Forte will all score tons of points this year.

Manning plays some more difficult defenses this year, and there's talk that they'll try to power run more. It wouldn't surprise me if Brees puts up better fantasy numbers.

As for the #1 pick, I think I'd go McCoy over AP.

That seems like it would be heavily, heavily, dependent on what spot you get in the draft. Manning, Brees, Rodgers, or bust.

It is and it isn't. The top 34 scorers in my league last year were quarterbacks. I know that setup is not for everyone, but I've found 8 consistent, returning players that like and we roll with it. Sure, it would be nice to have Manning. I had him last year, and won the league with a 15-2 record. The guy I beat in the championship game, finished the season with a 13-4, and had Andy Dalton has his starting quarterback.

So, it's nice to get the top tier quarterbacks in this league, but you're not screwed if you don't. I won the league two years ago with Dalton and Rivers QBing my team.

Mccoy went first in our league last night. Eagles will put up stats but it will be spread around. Also Philly didn't spend $ for sproles to have him on the sidelines twiddling his thumbs. I had second and picked Charles. He's all KC has on offense.

    Re: #1 Pick- Fantasy Football

McCoy is obviously very good, but IMO the Chiefs run more of a ball control offense that will probably funnel many of it's options thru Charles.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right!!

Remember how I said don't take Jamaal Charles because the Chiefs offensive line is mediocre. Well it just got worse.

@AdamSchefter: Chiefs OT Donald Stephenson is being suspended the first four games for violating the PED policy.

Would love to hear arguments for Peterson. I know some "experts" are high on him, but I have a hard time understanding why. He is easily in the Top 4, but I would personally put him at 4 in that group.
