Exactly. I mean I thought it sucked when Paul Walker died as I'm a sucker for ****** action movies, so I was looking forward to future Fast and Furious movies, but I didn't lose sleep or think about it/him.

You can count me in as another one. Of course I am shocked when someone dies before you would expect but I can't think of any celebrity that I would actually mourn over.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

Guys, I may have read it wrong, and Angie did lead with two recent deaths, but I took it as more of a "do you admire one celebrity (dead or alive) more than others" type question:

Is there a certain celebrity whose life, art, causes, or other have meant or mean more to you than most other celebrities?

I still don't really know why but Adam Yauch passing away really hurt. I loved his work and the change he was trying to be in the world. I'm usually pretty cynical but I felt like we lost a good man when he passed.

Johnny Orr's passing away really hit me hard. Probably the hardest for a well known person.

Yeah, and his best may have been yet to come. The New Moon double album released posthumously is gold.

I love Willie Nelson, and it'll be a sad day when he's gone.

Same here. I'm a huge Beasties fan, and have encountered a similar type of cancer to what he had. It was really a loss.

I cried when Walter Payton died. But I was also like 8 or 9 and the whole city grieved.

Although authors don't always occupy "celebrity" territory as much as musicians and actors, I was a little bummed when Kurt Vonnegut died, even though it was probably inevitable.

    And so on.

usually a celebrity passing doesn't get to me with a few exceptions. The exceptions being Robin Williams this week, the passing of Johnny, and George Carlin.

Definitely this. I shed some tears listening to John and Eric signing off from that Northern Illinois game after they had paid tribute to Johnny through most of it. Johnny may not have been a global superstar but he was an ISU icon...plus I had been around him a few times and he always made you feel like a life long friend. That was the only one I can say hit home

    So it goes.

It it bothered me when he passed, too. And Salinger a few years ago.
