I'm in the exact same situation as you, Gonzo. Not sure if I will go RB-RB or RB-WR.

Go RB-WR. You will want an elite receiver to go w/ your elite running back. That is the way that I see it anyway, unless you think you can trade your running back for someone else's receiver.

Ellington in the 4th is a nice score, especially in a PPR. Would love it if he was there for me, but don't think he will be.

I'm with stater7. I'll go RB, WR. Only thing that would sway me away from that is if Jimmy Graham is there for me, which I highly doubt he would be. Then RB/WR in the 3rd/4th, based on the better guy/value. Hoping I can get Jordan Cameron in the 5th, and I'm waiting on a QB until no earlier than the 7th or 8th, hopefully I can get Romo or Cutler, pretty sure one of them will be there for me.

I'm going RB for the first pick for sure. If Johnson, Thomas, Marshall, Green or Bryant are still on the board I'll take a WR for my 2nd pick. If not, I'm going RB again in round 2. And then depending on what's out there for WR, I might go RB again in round 3. But will try to go WR in round 3 if I can get a decent one.

Mine isn't a PPR actually. I ended up trading Ellington for Knowshon Moreno and Jeremy Maclin. I'm pretty happy with it as it gives me some options with my flex. I have both Dolphins rbs now so I'm set for both running backs and then I can put either Maclin or Edelman in the flex.
    Here's what I have:
    QB: Foles, Dalton
RB: Foster, Moreno, Lamar Miller, Andre Brown (Foster handcuff), Chris Ivory
WR: Green, Desean Jackson, Maclin, Edelman, Boykin, Justin Hunter (Sleeper on the Titans)
    TE: Vernon Davis
    D/ST: St Louis
    K: Nick Folk

That's what I thought (load up on running backs) until I read Matthew Berry's column:

No way I'm reading all that crap. For me it all depends on what's available. RB's are always the ones that are in the highest demand. There always seems to be decent WR's unless you can snatch up an elite one. Dime a dozen. All the leagues I'm in are not PPR.

You don't need to read all of it, just scroll down to his summary based on positions. Do what you want but I think it's important to grab an elite receiver as well

Yeah I agree if you can get an elite WR, then you take it in the 2nd round. There are only 5 elite WR's though, so it's no guarantee.

Thanks for all the input. Another question, more of a curiosity.

    Romo or Cutler... and why?

Close one, but I think Romo had surgery, so that's a risk. I'd go with Cutler, only because of Marshall, Jeffreys, and Forte.

Good point. One thing Romo has going for him though is that Dallas defense. Looks like Chicago's taken some steps to improve its D. Dallas' might be just as bad, if not worse, this year. Great QB on a team with a sh*tty defense is the sweet spot.

    Re: Fantasy Football Question

I take Romo because he has a history of actually putting up pretty good fantasy numbers. I haven't really looked at Cutler's but I've never really seen anyone in my leagues ever start him. I'd just rather not put my trust in an unproven fantasy numbers guy in Cutler. But honestly you can probably end up with both and be fine lol
