Yup, Lalk has been taking his reps with the 2nd team since his injury, IIRC. He will do well but that still stinks for Ben and the team as a whole.

Hopefully this question doesn't matter at all this year. We need Tom Farniok on every play.

Yeah, and if last year was any indication, Lalk was probably going to play over Loth if Farniok went down.

Just a guess, but I think that Severs would have eventually beaten Loth out too.

Thanks for being a Cyclone, Mr. Loth, and glad your are one. So sorry your playing ended this way. Still other ways to be teammate this season, but sucks you cannot end it shoving people around on the field.

The subpar defense from the Cyclones gives the Hawks a chance to finally start to get their confidence rolling on offense. Both running the football and through the air.
*Breakout player prediction.... Everyone is going to have their eyes on Allen Lazard because of his hype coming out of H.S., but Derrick Willies steals the show.

Ah, that sucks. Thanks for everything you put into the program, Ben. Good luck to you whatever you do after football.

Damn. Was a bit upbeat as the last thing I heard was Tuesday with a bunch of talk from "so and so close to the OL" that it may not have been as serious as first anticipated.

Did they operate on him this morning and find it to be worse?

    Re: Loth is done

Good grief that's terrible for him. From a team perspective this hurts, he really had to play a lot last year under bad circumstances and gained a lot of experience. IIRC, Farniok has been pretty injury prone too so cross your fingers.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

That's surprising; we were being led to believe it wasn't that bad.

    Sorry to hear about this

I think they were waiting for the swelling to go down and they had an MRI on thursday, probably found it to be bad then.

    Re: Loth is done

I hope the strength and conditioning coaches will help him with getting his weight down sooner rather than later. Since he apparently can't play anymore it would be best for his knee if he was carrying around less weight on it.

Sorry about the tough break, Ben. Thanks for being a Cyclone. Hopefully you can find ways to contribute to the team in the meeting room and on the bench.

So sorry, Ben. Good luck for your future!

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)
