I've never had one, never wanted one. At 59, odds are good I won't ever get one.

HOWEVER...I made a bet with another poster a while back. Someday, I may have a "bird in a blender" Cy somewhere that doesn't sag much (maybe the back of the shoulder). I promised to get one if ISU ever wins the Nat'l Championship in Football.

    They'd better hurry up! ;)

Overall, though, I think there are lots of good reasons to get them. Just not for me.
So it's a boob tat then, huh?

I have four. One on my upper left arm (a cross), one on my left chest/shoulder (a sea turtle), one on my right arm ("IMAGINE") and one on my right chest/shoulder ("HONOR BEFORE VICTORY"). I don't regret any of them. I think I'm done, though. I've gotten everything I've wanted to. Though I say that every time. I get almost like a four year itch. Got each one on or around my birthday. One at 18, next at 22, next at 27, next at 31.

Hmmm... Every four years? Do your tattoos coincide with: presidential elections, World Cup, or Summer Olympics?

I only have one; on my right calf I have the Walking Cy logo with the words "Loyal Sons, Forever True" scripted around it. I'd consider getting more in the future.

Haha - no. Definitely no. I think EVERYTHING sags on women when they're 90.

I'm 42 and currently have none, but I really want to get an old-school marching Cy tattoo.

Re: Friday OT #2 - Tattoos

I just think the human body can be a beautiful thing, but putting colors and designs all over it just seems somehow wrong-ish.

I do understand the old military fore-arm tattoo and have no problem with a small or discreet tattoo. I do generally get negative first impressions when I seek someone with extensive tattoos and/or piercings.

Just being an old person, I guess.

(No, I won't be getting one)

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

Re: Friday OT #2 - Tattoos

Have one on my chest and it is special to me so not against them. However, I don't understand when people get them in visible places (face, neck, arms, hands, etc) and then worked up when (1) they draw attention from other and (2) it affects their employment.

Re: Friday OT #2 - Tattoos

Two of my friends (both are cops) have full sleeves on one arm. One is really cool and one is alright. They look good now but I think they'll look really weird when they're 40+ years old.

I don't have a tattoo and I don't think I will ever get one. If I do I have one rule that I think everyone should live by: it has to be able to be covered up by a t-shirt. Nothing on your wrists or neck (DUMB) or face (REALLY DUMB).

Re: Friday OT #2 - Tattoos

I am 35 and I currently have none. I have two that I really want but I am always hesitant to spend money on myself.

The one I want most is my boys birth dates in roman numerals on my arm.

The second is a viking symbol either on probably my other shoulder.
