Re: Poll: Should Wimberly Be Returning Kicks

The AZ Cardinals have their best DB, Patrick Peterson, returning punts and kicks because he is the best return man they have. They just gave him a $70 Million contract because the Cardinals feel he is worth that to the team. If he gets hurt on a return their pass defense will suffer but that's football.

Sure some teams like LSU, Alabama, Clemson do put their best player back to return. Those teams have the luxury of having the next Eddy Lacy in line. We do not.
Those teams also win. The Return Game is a huge part of the game. Jarvis on punts. Jarvis and Wimberly or Nealy on kickofs.

Our argument was about Wimberly returning.

If Wimberly is better than Nealy than put him at KR.

I will never forget losing LaMarcus Hicks on kick returns. So I would hate to have Wimberly end up like that too.

West needs to be the main guy on kickoffs and punt return. Dude is just lightning quick.

I agree I think West is our best kick return guy.

We need to win. If we have a returner who makes guys miss the first tackle, that is who we need. Jarvis did real good, but Bundrage had his quick start problems. Our most shifty guy is first Jarvis, then Aaron, then Nealy. Does CPR coach the kickoff group? Josh Lenz always caught the ball and made it back for a reasonable gain.

I think he is more shifty than fast. Bundrage and Nealy may be the fastest but they appear easier to catch and tackle.

With our defense we need all of the field position wins we can get. Whatever makes that happen is what I want to do.
