His dad played at Nebraska. I don't know why Iowa is included in the list though.

My son goes to Valley. He says Rairdon is ND's to lose. If they offer supposedly he will commit. I guess he already has an OU offer in hand.

I am assuming because his dad went to Nebraska--and Iowa puts out NFL linemen.

Another reason to get more Cyclones drafted the next couple of years.

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)

I just don't understand the affinity with Notre Dame in this day and age.. Sure they fell *** first into the title game a couple years ago but the last 2 decades have been awful by "blue blood" standards. I'm not saying he should choose ISU or that is the only logical choice. Just think it's crazy if he is Notre Dame's to lose this early in the recruiting process where many other big names are sure to call.

Oh and Bobby Elliot can kiss my *** and stay the hell out of recruiting the state of Iowa.

That's not true. I'm very good friends with him, and I've discussed this with him personally and he still has no idea.

Yeah, why on Earth would a top OL prospect consider Iowa?

In football i would go to a blue blood. In basketball i could change the direction of iowa state. Huge difference between sports.

I go to Valley with him and he's said on multiple occasions that all he's waiting for is an offer from ND. From what he's said, it has a lot less to do with the actual product being put on the field there, and more with what being a Notre Dame football player does for your professional career outside of football. His dad is very strongly steering him that way as he believes if you're good enough to be a pro, they'll find you no matter what team your on.
Actually Iowa State's best bet is the new basketball coach at Valley, BJ Windhorst. Even though he's a Drake alum, he's really been talking with John about the pros and cons of each place, and with the same "they'll find you anywhere" mentality, talks to him more about how picking a school should be based on whether you think you fit there and enjoy your time rather than what the name on the diploma will do.
