He did sign with us in February already. Potential greyshirt if he doesn't qualify.

Yes I still have no idea why they are planning on having him greyshirt. He is one of the top 5 recruits from last year IMO and if it isn't because of academics or a different reason then idk what we are doing.

    Re: Another commitment

I'm curious as to the story behind the Oregon State offer. They don't recruit anywhere in the Midwest and nobody on their staff appears to have any ties to Iowa or the Midwest. Did he camp there or does his high school coach have ties to Oregon State?

Didn't they just sign a DE from Waukon in Iowa?

Plus, there is an open scholarship now that Moore is gone. Maybe they're giving that to Peters?

Oregon State did sign Gyleb Ewing last season. There must be a tie to Iowa. Welcome aboard Julian. Nice to land some in-state kids that had other power conference options.

Good-Jones camped at OSU. Not sure if they have a staff member with Iowa ties though.

Awesome. Love getting big O-linemen, especially ones that are in-state and have a decent offer list

    Re: Another commitment

ISU has really been pulling in more guys with big conference offers early in the recruiting process the last couple of years. Maybe recruiting nationwide is somewhat changing, but still I think it's a positive about the program.

They offer Iowa kids all the time. A couple every year seem to have offers. Hell my great grandpa (an Iowan) played there 107 years ago. I would say one of the top 10-15 schools that offer Iowa kids. All the Northwest schools dabble a little in Iowa knowing they may snag a kid looking for a change of scenery.
