I typically love these movies but I remember the first one being pretty terrible. I'll watch this on Netflix or HBO some day.

I loved the first one more than I expected to. I'll probably check this out.

Excited to watch it on Netflix in two years. Can't imagine a scenario where I'd drop ten bucks to see it in a theater, though.

I figured they'd said all they needed to say (which, granted, wasn't much) with the first one.

I didn't think you needed to make sequels to these gimmicky bro comedies (see The Hangover: Part 2) when there's not much of a plot in the first place (and redoing a sequel with the same plot only makes that more evident) and it's not like the characters have much of arcs to follow... it's just stupid scene loosely linked to stupid scene... so why not just use another silly premise to keep it a little fresh?

"So let me get this straight: you want to fly on a magic carpet, to see the king of the potato people, and plead with him for your freedom... and you're telling me you're completely sane? I think that calls for two hours of W-O-O."

You've seen Hollywood for the last ten or fifteen years, right?

I remember going to the theater about a year ago and looking at what was playing/what's coming. Of 22 movies, only one was an original idea. The others were either sequels, prequels, based on a book, based on a play, based on a tv show or a remake.

Yeah first one didn't really blow me away. It takes a really good movie for me to see it in a theater.
