And as for the Weisman argument a lot of people are making, they had 25 carries from RBs not named Weisman.

An offensive line getting a decent push, 3 yards and a cloud of dust does not mean a team is overmatched.

Those last two drives were clutch and Iowa converted when they needed to on some critical 3rd downs. Iowa State was not a little sister of the poor in that game. I don't understand why so many people feel its so important to make it seem like it was.

I'm trying a different path. Instead of stating myself correct, I'm just going to state you incorrect. It's just as ridiculous as arguing over the Iowa game.

Because we watched the game, and you're making us look stupid in this thread by denying reality. Iowa pounded us through the 3rd quarter but almost gave up a little early which gives some that don't understand football the chance to have this argument against what everyone else knows to be fact. The good news is that I think we would have been more competitive in that game had SR been able to walk without a limp, and last years stomping has no impact on what's going to happen over in Iowa City in a few weeks, thankfully.

I really don't like ISU fans acting like our team got manhandled just because their precious little hearts are hurting because ISU lost. I don't even know why this argument is about ISU's defense. Our offense was a lot worse.

Why are you so determined to defend Iowa? It is a pattern, you know from what you have written in the past, you know, the history feature

    Our hearts are hurting? Derp.

Iowa did what they wanted to last year. This idea that they had to break long runs or score 50+ points to physically manhandle us is stupid. We were never in that game, offense or no offense.

I don't know why this argument is even occurring in this thread.

I don't know why I would have watched that game a second time. Once was ugly enough, yet for some reason, nobody can let it go.

I think ignoring our inept offense is really missing in this argument.

Look, it was pretty obvious that we got beaten up at the LOS on both sides of the ball. .

But you can look at the very first offensive play when Sam ran the read option, and had just one guy to beat, but his ankle didn't let him make the play. And you could only run so many 3 and outs in a row before the defense eventually breaks. Iowa was absolutely the better team that night, but we were a couple plays away at the end from winning.

It is very similar to the game in IC two years ago, Iowa State should have won about 28-35 to 6, but turned the ball over in the red zone. We dominated that game every bit as much as iowa did last year. Strange things happen in rivalry games.

I learned who Scherff is this morning, I thought it was a building.
