    Im with you on that. I do enjoy the weird stuff now and then as well. Not a huge fan of thick fat or gristle texture, but Im willing to try something new. Fell in love with blood sausage after trying it a couple of years ago.

    Ate almost every part of a goat at a bbq a few easters ago as well (while staring at its charred skull). That was enlightening.

    - Seared ahi tuna
    - Seared scallops
    - BBQ pork back ribs...smokey with good char, not simmered in a bath of liquid

    BBW wings in general are not good, bone in or out. Much better options out there.


    Actually when it comes to nuggets, Chick Fil A appear to be actual meat and not processed slurry that eventually forms a nugget.

    Deep Fried Turkey is the bomb.

    As far as non-traditional, Frog's Legs are great, Pheasant is great..

    Also any Brat that is locally made in a meat locker or butcher shop is usually pretty awesome. Used to travel to Milwaukee on business to Kohl's HQ. Right by their facility is Karls Country Market. These guys made their own award winning brats and all summmer long they would grill them during lunch. Awesome sandwich

    Rare prime rib. Light rub, extra slow roast. Tender enough to cut with a fork, or at most, a butter knife.

    And I DO mean rare. If I stick a fork in it, that sucker better mooooooooo!

    On the weirdish stuff, fried rabbit is really good. Tried liver sausage one time and the taste was pretty good, but the texture wasn't great. Also had a really good BBQ raccoon one time at a wild game feed.

    Suppose I'll take a few jabs for this, but the worst meat I have ever eaten was beaver. Way too rich for my taste.

    I love steak and shrimp. I can grill it or someone else. Brats would be my second choice, loaded with kraut and mustard. My friend got some complimentary brats from the Edgewood Locker for an order mixup. They were very tasty. Some had dill pickle chunks (awesome) and some others had small blueberries with a hint of maple syrup mixed in. They were great!

    I have had some real tasty beaver. Depends how it is prepared. I like anything that I make in my smoker - salmon, chicken pork shoulder...
