Gotta go with brisket and burnt ends. The best brisket that I have had was from Smokey D's.

You feel the floor give you a little tingle, man, Iowa State junior point guard Monte Morris said in a private moment after the game, leaning against a wall in the bowels of Hilton Coliseum. You feel it. You feel it. Its real. You feel it on the court. Its a tough feeling to explain. Its a vibration. It gets you going.

    He paused.

    Its magic.

A place called Smoques in Chicago had a brisket that I still to this day dream about.

Re: Friday OT - Red Meat

I think everyone who answers "steak" should be dis-qualified. That is almost equivalent to answering your favorite kind of meat is "ribs". Both answers are way too generic. Example: the difference between a rib-eye and a T-bone. The difference between pork ribs and beef ribs. Both are completely different types of meat yet both fulfill the answer of "steak" and "ribs". Then pour on your favorite type of secondary seasoning (if you like that sort of thing) and you see the difference between pork ribs at Outback vs. pork ribs at Applebees which are completely different meals.

So this is a fine question and a hard one to answer. But I'll try:

I like a home-grilled T-bone with Cookies Savory Seasoning mix on it, tenderized nicely and allowed to sit for at least 2 hours with the seasoning mix prior to grilling to medium perfection with a hint of red.

BBQ Pork Ribs at the top, although I eat more chicken and beef than pork.
For breakfast, fried side pork or bacon > sausage.

I actually don't have much like for Prime Rib anymore. I used to love it, but about 4-5 years ago I ate some and got really sick. Probably not related to the prime rib, but it left me hating it for a while. A few months ago, I decided to jump back on the wagon and ordered some while out with a group of guys and pretty intoxicated. Got so excited about telling some story that I forgot to chew and started choking. That meat is out to get me.

I think mine would have to be mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce, but that's probably because it's something I don't cook at home so it's a special treat. Tied for second would be a ribeye, raw tuna, or bacon.

Love this as well. Not a huge red meat eater, but I do enjoy a medium rare steak lightly seasoned or a prime rib dinner now and then. More in line with you on the seafood thing.

If it was alive, and someone has a recipe for preparing it, I probably like it.

I enjoy meat of all kinds, but I get a particular perverse enjoyment out of "weird" meats that most people can't stomach. Any kind of pickled animal part, or stuff like head cheese and jaeternice are all delicious, IMO.

It's a toss-up between medium rare rib-eye, or country style pork ribs marinated in my special recipe -- both have to be grilled.
