    Amazon FireTV

I need CF's opinion. I am moving and debating whether to dump Directv to possibly Amazon FireTV. What are the pros and cons for people that have it or something similar? Would you recommend it? TIA

    I recommend this thread.

I think the Fire was discussed in there at one point.

    Re: Amazon FireTV

Don't have Fire, but have Roku and Apple TV. Really like them both. Apple TV is great if you have an iPad because you can cast Cyclones.tv to your TV. Amazon Fire has the main services like Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon (duh.), but doesn't have some of the sports packages yet. Roku and Apple TV have most of the sports packages. Amazon TV's big advantage is the voice search. Decide which is most important to you and comparison shop. Roku is the least expensive and you can get the Roku stick which is easier to hide behind a TV with no wires showing.
