    When killing spiders goes wrong

Maybe the suggestion of "kill it with fire" is not the best option

Probably just didn't use enough fire.

Moore says fire "is not the method to use to kill a spider," though he's "pretty sure" the spider died in the blaze.

A house is a small price to pay to ensure the destruction of a spider. Worth it, in my opinion.

Still don't see why this would be bad advice. The home deserved it for allowing the spider to live.

for some reason, fires and laundry rooms do not go well together.

So... who wants to guess what his landlord is going to say about this? Think he'll get his deposit back?

I think knowing the type of spider is relevant. Daddy long legs? Overkill. That nasty son of a gun someone posted in here a while ago that's like 12 inches wide?

    Not enough.

He should. It's the landlord's duty to provide a livable house, which he/she clearly failed to do by renting out a house with spiders.

I think the bigger problem is we aren't sure the spider's dead. It may be out there, plotting it's revenge...

This was my takeaway, as well. "Pretty sure" doesn't cut it when it comes to 8-legged freaks.
