    Re: Who would CFH chose

I know Brackins will never get the recognition he deserves because he is defined by the GMAC era but can you imagine Craig playing for Fred? Talk about creating mismatches.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Isn't Craig basically the highest-rated recruit we've ever had?

I can't think of one off the top my head that would be higher.

Tyrus McGee. I fear that we won't have enough derpth this year and he could really help off the bench.

I'll give my vote to Tinsley. I am very happy with Morris but Tinsley would be an upgrade.

    Re: Who would CFH chose

Here's a list of players he would bring back:
    Bubu Palo
    Percy Gibson
    Luca Steiger
    KJ Bluford

Just think how much better the team would be with just one of those guys. Then maybe even throw in an Anthony Booker type, and you would be set.

    Re: Who would CFH chose

Top 5 to add to this team:
1.) Royce, he would make Georges insanely good
2.) Fizer, this team has a lot of guards, why not add one of the best players to ever wear a cyclone uniform, ever?
3.) Deadeye, this team could use a knock shooter. Dedric was a pretty good overall player, but he really excelled here
4.) Babb, this team needs a lockdown perimeter defender. Maybe BDJ is that guy, but who knows.
5.) McThree, just as good as Dedric from beyond the 3 point line.

    Re: Who would CFH chose

    For realz this time:

    1. Tinsley
    2. White
    3. Fizer

end of the game, who does the other team guard? 3sus? Niang? or White? Tinsley? Fizer? Absolute nightmare for opposing coaches. They would probably get less sleep that the coach for NCC we played in the NCCA Tournament.

I would have loved to have seen what CFH would have done with Wesley Johnson. He really excelled in the Syracuse system and I think that Hoiberg's system would have suited him really well also.

So that makes Brackins the second all-time, or at least since they started ranking high schoolers?

It's got to be Fizer or Tinsley, though. If there's one trait that defines Fred's coaching style (other than being completely awesome), it's that he takes the best talent he can, regardless of their position, and designs a system around them.

I think Fred would pick someone who adds something the team doesn't have. I don't think he would pick someone who would steal the limelight from the guys he already wants as stars. So, I read the OP as asking what player would make these players even better.

Hence, Homan. He would get big defenders caught up in physical play and maybe even get them into foul trouble. He would protect the lane so other guys could over-pursue on defense. He would keep rebounds alive on the offensive end. He wouldn't take anything away from anyone, except maybe Edozie. Can you imagine Homan and McKay playing together for 10 minutes per game? Our guards would go wild.

You beat me to it. I was going to say Wesley Johnson or even go bold and say Harrison Barnes because if Fred was coach then he would have had the opportunity to coach them.

Like I said, even within those parameters...Homan??? You're telling me that if you had Victor Alexander, Kelvin Cato, Loren Meyer, Marcus Fizer, Don Smith, and even Jackson Vroman standing in a lineup, you'd walk past them all and take Jared Homan?
