So many possibilities! It makes me

Doubtful as both are employed to assist in the radio broadcast.

Not sure why John and Eric can't just call both the radio and TV side?!? Can't think of a duo I'd rather have ...
Mark Matthew and Matt Blair (kidding)

Blum is a great choice for PBP- he will be in Austin anyway for CRN so why not?
He won't be taking over radio for another 20 years unless John retires. Until then, he would be fun on TV. Bruns would be outstanding for color but doubt the CRN crew is broken up. Sage is under contract for tv work this fall- if he is free, he is the easy choice here. Adding Woody to the sideline would be great. Former Cyclone John Quinn was really good on the sideline pre-Bruns but in his new gig, I doubt he does it.

    Blum PBP
    Rosenfels-color
    Woody-sideline.

    Good crew!

Put Tron on the sidelines - Gray can do the halftime show and we'd have a heck of a team!

Re: The announcer situation for the ISU-Texas football game

I actually think that makes them more likely. They are both familiar with the game day set up we have (are essentially 'in house' choices), will be traveling there anyway (no additional travel expense), and they can still do at least some of their pre and post game duties on the radio. Particularly Bruns could be shifted out of his radio role during the game and it would be fine. Blum may do too much from a technical standpoint during the game, but my impression has always been he does more with setup and his on air radio contributions.

Ben Bruns does a nice job with the Barnstormers. I wish they would let him do more during Cyclones games, but keep him on the sidelines. He is great at giving the on-the-field perspective.

Any sideline reporter that gives me this:

After ISU misses a 22 yard FG @ Colorado

John: What did you see down there Ben?
Ben: I just threw up all over my shoes... back up to you guys.

Is A OK in my book.

Beats the **** out of some of the crap these guys talk about. MRE's come to mind, as well as anything Dan Dierdorf ever said

I guess I dont know how that works. Does ISU employee the guys on the radio, or are they employed through Learfield? That would be key.

You're right. I forgot about Tron. Put him in some Wilson Toyota swag and he'd do great.

Re: The announcer situation for the ISU-Texas football game

I hope it's people with actual broadcast experience. If we're using this as a trial balloon to get more subscribers, the last thing we want is someone calling a game for the first time. I bet (or at least hope) we attempt to get some actual experienced guys.
